Nova Stashy does not collect analytics, run ads, or send library data to third-party services.

Getting started

You need a running Stash server that your iPhone or iPad can reach.

  • Open Nova Stashy and enter your server URL, for example http://localhost:9999
  • If authentication is enabled in Stash, enter your API key
  • Tap Connect. That's it.

Troubleshooting

Most connection problems come from server reachability, authentication, or an incorrect URL.

Cannot connect to server

  • Check that your Stash server is running
  • Make sure your device is on the same network, or that your remote address is reachable
  • Confirm the URL is correct and does not include a trailing slash
  • If authentication is enabled, confirm your API key

Video will not play

  • Confirm the server is online and reachable from your device
  • Check that the scene has a valid stream path in Stash
  • Try refreshing the scene detail screen

Scene will not download

  • Offline download supports compatible MP4, M4V, and MOV scenes; HLS-only scenes cannot be downloaded
  • Check that you are connected to your server when starting a download
  • If downloads are blocked, you may have reached your storage limit or be low on device space
  • If a download fails, retry it from its card in the Downloads tab, or retry all failed downloads at once

Manage downloads and storage

Open the Downloads tab to search and sort your downloads, monitor progress, cancel transfers, and remove saved scenes by swipe or with Edit and Select All. You can start up to ten downloads at once from the Scenes tab. Set your storage limit and clear all downloaded media from Settings (the gear button in the top-right corner of Home).

Remove saved credentials

Open Settings from the gear button in the top-right corner of Home and tap Remove Saved Server. This clears the saved server address and API key from Apple Keychain.

About library content

Nova Stashy does not include or distribute media. All content is loaded from the Stash server you configure.
